Life is about the jourrrneeeyyyyyyy.
Things can happen so fast that, in the moment, we forget to enjoy them — to be thankful, present, and excited about all that is unfolding. We become so fixed on the outcome that we don’t realize how much is happening right now to build the future we dream of.
Instead of savoring the ups and downs — the roller coaster, the ride, the waves, the motions of life — we let ourselves be overwhelmed by them. And then, when we finally get everything we’ve been wanting, life can suddenly feel a little scary. Because the truth is, we never know what can happen next. Some people have a whole lifetime ahead of them, while for others, the end can come unexpectedly.
We can become tied up in little things, holding grudges over moments and people, and then time passes. Only when it’s too late do we realize how meaningless those grudges were, and how much of that time could have been spent bonding, living joyfully, and embracing one another — recognizing that nothing is perfect and nothing ever will be until God brings those who have faith to enter a heavenly country.
But until then, we should be living thankfully and joyfully, for all.
The waves, the ups and downs, the moments we take for granted… all of it is shaping the future we hope for. Don’t wait until it’s too late to realize the beauty in what’s here now. Live thankfully, love deeply, and remember: nothing will ever be perfect until we enter a perfect world — but until then, joy is ours to choose every day.
